A 39-year-old salon owner in Sydney has been arrested and charged following allegations that he drugged and sexually assaulted two men.[1] The suspect was taken into custody on Friday morning and faces two counts of administering a substance with intent to commit an indictable offense and two counts of sexual assault without consent.[1]
Police allege that the man contacted both victims, aged 34 and 37, through online dating platforms and invited them back to his salon, Salon DS, located at the intersection of Maloney Street and Gardeners Road in Rosebery.[1] According to investigators, the victims unknowingly ingested a substance at the premises before being assaulted, with the incidents occurring in March and May of this year.[1] Detective Superintendent Andrew Garner stated: "Police will allege that the proprietor of the business contacted these males via online dating platforms, invited them back to the salon, where they unknowingly ingested a substance and were then sexually assaulted."[1] The investigation commenced in June.[1]
