Operational efficiency also improved during this period. The cost per 100 yuan of operating income for industrial enterprises above designated size decreased by 0.47 yuan year-on-year to 85 yuan 1. Consequently, the operating income profit margin for these enterprises rose by 0.54 percentage points to reach 5.66% 1.
