BYD's Ocean network sales business unit general manager Zhang Zhuo unveiled the interior design of the Seagull 08, the company's flagship SUV, showcasing the six-seat version equipped with a floating center display screen, second-row ceiling-mounted screen, and zero-gravity seats 1. The vehicle makes its interior debut globally with these configurations, following its initial appearance at the Beijing Auto Show in April 1.
The Seagull 08 measures 5,115mm in length, 1,999mm in width, and 1,800mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,030mm 1. The lineup includes both five-seat and six-seat variants 1. The pure electric version offers single-motor configurations with output of 320kW for the lower-power variant and 370kW for the high-performance version, as well as a dual-motor setup delivering peak power of 215kW at the front and 370kW at the rear 1. The plug-in hybrid version is powered by a 1.5T engine producing a maximum of 115kW, paired with front and rear motors each delivering 200kW peak output 1. Electric models provide driving ranges of 800 kilometers and 900 kilometers 1.
The Seagull 08 incorporates BYD's second-generation Blade battery technology and flash-charging capabilities 1. The vehicle is expected to launch in August 1.
