Designed by Pascale Gomes-McNabb, the venue draws inspiration from the surrealist aesthetics of David Lynch's films and his Paris bar Silencio, creating an immersive underground experience bathed in red light 1.
The bar's beverage program features inventive cocktails including La Morena with tequila and walnut bitters, a Chartreuse slushie made with tarragon syrup, apple and lime, blood orange Americano, and lime margarita 1. Food offerings, curated by Khanh Nguyen—the chef behind King Clarence and Ashe—comprise shrimp toast, Vietnamese pork rolls, and fried chicken sandwiches 1. The venue hosts nightly live performances and features one of Sydney's most sophisticated sound systems, equipped with more than 50 speakers 1. Vespertine operates Sunday through Wednesday from 5 p.m. to 12:55 a.m., and Thursday through Saturday from 5 a.m. to 2:55 a.m. 1.
