运输效率的提升成为中欧班列发展的显著特点。[1]重箱率连续46个月保持100%，主要通道西安至杜伊斯堡的最快运行时间从15天缩短至11天，通关时间由半天缩短至半小时以内。[1]在国际合作方面，中欧班列已签署9份政府间多双边合作文件，并举办两届中欧班列国际合作论坛，达成159项务实合作成果。[1]
The National Development and Reform Commission held a press briefing on July 28, 2026, to announce the accomplishments of the China-Europe Railway Express.[1] The service has now completed over 130,000 cumulative trips while transporting cargo valued at more than 5.2 billion dollars.[1]
Since the unified brand was adopted on June 8, 2016, the railway service has demonstrated substantial growth and operational improvements.[1] Annual shipment volumes have increased at an average rate exceeding 30 percent, with the number of trains rising from 1,702 in 2016 to 20,022 in 2025.[1] A key performance metric shows that the loaded container rate has consistently remained at 100 percent for 46 consecutive months, indicating optimal utilization of freight capacity.[1] Transit times have improved significantly, with the route between Xi'an and Duisburg reducing travel time from 15 days to 11 days.[1] Customs clearance procedures have been streamlined, with processing times cut from half a day to under 30 minutes.[1]
The service has strengthened its international partnerships through nine government-to-government bilateral and multilateral cooperation agreements.[1] Additionally, two editions of the China-Europe Railway Express International Cooperation Forum have been held, yielding 159 practical collaboration outcomes.[1]
