To ensure financial security, the system strictly limits pooling recipients to close relatives, and funds transferred through the pooling mechanism cannot be shared further.1 All provinces, autonomous regions, direct-controlled municipalities, and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps have completed the rollout.1 Over the previous five years, provincial-level personal account pooling under the employee basic medical insurance scheme accumulated more than 7.8 billion transactions, totaling over 100 billion yuan.1 The cross-provincial expansion is expected to further reduce the financial burden on residents seeking medical care across regions and improve the overall efficiency of medical insurance fund utilization.1
