The inaugural "Chasing Light Classroom" quality course example collection and evaluation activity has concluded, unveiling a national roster of 23 "Chasing Light Master Teachers."1 Two educators from Shenzhen's Longhua District—Zhou Hanqi from Guanhu Experimental School and Wang Zihui from Longhua Third Experimental School—have been selected onto this prestigious national list.1 Their meticulously designed course examples, "Whose Design Keeps Heat Better?" and "How Do Jellyfish Pass Their Bioluminescence Ability to the Next Generation?", distinguished themselves by demonstrating a deep integration of science education with AI enablement and engineering practice.1
The "Chasing Light Classroom" initiative is jointly implemented by the Ministry of Education's Department of Basic Education and the Department of Science, Technology and Information.1 The project benefits from philanthropic support provided by Tencent and the New Cornerstone Science Foundation.1 It represents a collaborative effort among 49 frontline scientists and 56 education specialists who developed the curriculum.1 The program has produced 112 premium science lessons covering four major subject areas and 27 instructional units, which will be piloted across 112 primary schools nationwide beginning in the spring semester of 2026.1
