上海台办副主任来台申请遭陆委会驳回

台北市政府为上海台办副主任李驍東申请来台筹备双城论坛，遭大陆委员会不予批准1。该申请中的部分人员获得准许，但李驍東本人未获批准1。

蒋万安于去年12月在上海出席双城论坛后隔日，中共宣布绕台军演1。对此，国台办发言人朱鳳蓮表示双城论坛交流与军演之间没有关联1。

Taiwan's Mainland Affairs Council has denied entry to Li Xiaodong, deputy director of the Shanghai Taiwan Affairs Office, who had applied to visit Taiwan to prepare for the Taipei-Shanghai City Forum.1 While some delegation members were approved, Li's application was rejected.1

Responding to criticism, Mainland Affairs Council Vice Chair Liang Wenjie stated that the council will not provide case-by-case explanations for its decisions.1 Liang emphasized that the Taipei-Shanghai City Forum is a local exchange activity that cannot address the most critical cross-strait issues and should not be viewed as overly significant.1 He noted that many Chinese provincial and municipal governments submit applications to send representatives to Taiwan, with some approved and others rejected.1

Taipei Mayor Jiang Wan'an characterized the denial as an arbitrary government restriction.1 He recalled that after his December visit to Shanghai to attend the previous city forum, the Chinese military announced military exercises around Taiwan the following day.1 However, Beijing's Taiwan Affairs Office spokesperson Zhu Fenglian stated that the city forum exchange activities and military drills are unrelated.1
