A Grade 10 student at Quanquan Foreign Language School in Longhua District, Shenzhen, has independently organized a geological science exhibition featuring over 50 mineral, rock, fossil, and elemental specimens that he personally collected, identified, and catalogued.1 The exhibition, titled "The Language of Stone," showcases the result of months of fieldwork and self-directed study conducted during the student's spare time.1
The curator, Meng Ye, gathered samples from multiple locations across China, including Qingyuan, Chongqing, Inner Mongolia, Yunfu, and the Siming Mountains.1 Every aspect of the exhibition—from specimen collection and identification to the organization, labeling, and design—was completed by the student himself, reflecting the school's educational philosophy of "learning by doing."1 As part of his research, Meng Ye compiled an observation manual documenting the surface rocks and minerals of Qingyuan City.1 Exhibition labels, educational text, and PVC tags were all created by the student.1
