从技术实现来看，地对空通信网速接近地面4G网络水平，但仅限于有地面基站的地区使用1。卫星通信则可全球覆盖，但信号延迟可能超过半秒，因此在视频通话和在线游戏等实时应用中会存在一定局限1。中国星网、上海垣信卫星两大主体已累计发射200多颗低轨卫星1。东方航空已于2023年实现包括起飞和降落在内的全程WiFi覆盖1。

China Eastern Airlines, beginning July 3 of this year, provides complimentary standard-tier in-flight WiFi to economy passengers on wide-body aircraft, while first and business class passengers receive free high-speed access.1 Juneyao Airlines offers economy passengers on wide-body flights a 10-minute complimentary trial period, after which service requires payment.1 China Eastern achieved full-route WiFi coverage—encompassing takeoff and landing phases—as of 2023.1
Ground-to-air communication delivers speeds comparable to terrestrial 4G networks but operates only where ground-based infrastructure exists.1 Satellite communication, meanwhile, encounters latency potentially exceeding half a second, making video calls and online gaming somewhat challenging.1 Two major entities, China Spacelink and Shanghai Yuanxin Satellite, have each launched over 200 low-orbit satellites cumulatively, laying the foundation for imminent global constellation deployment.1
