Legal experts have criticized this arrangement, arguing that game operators should provide full refunds of players' unconsumed virtual currency corresponding to their original deposits, and that platform commission costs should not be transferred to consumers.1 On September 9, the operator edited its refund policy statement, removing language that had addressed refund difficulties.1
