The seventh round of state-organized centralized volume procurement for medical consumables was opened on September 10 in Tianjin, covering 23 types of digestive intervention medical consumables.1 A total of 156 enterprises submitted 558 products, with 148 enterprises' 517 products ultimately selected.1 The procurement is designed to reduce the overall financial burden of digestive intervention treatment.1
Among the specific product categories, digestive intervention injection needles saw 32 enterprises bid with 28 selected, while digestive intervention stone retrieval baskets attracted 69 bidding enterprises with 64 winning the selection.1 Six products triggered the "abnormally low price without volume guarantee" rule during the bidding process.1 The implementation of the selected products is expected to commence in January 2027.1
Since 2020, the state-organized centralized procurement for medical consumables has encompassed 165 types of medical devices in total.1
