Australia's Independent Commission Against Corruption entered the third week of Operation Rosny, examining allegations against NSW Liberal Party right-wing reformers.[1] Lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood testified that creating documents detailing accusations against political figures was a reasonable practice, while Dallas McInerney, a Catholic school executive, took the stand to deny allegations that he raised funds for the reform faction.[1]
Greenwood acknowledged drafting a "dirt file" targeting Police Minister David Elliott.[1] He also revealed that he funded a two-week Fiji accommodation for Jean-Claude Perrottet and provided a AU$25,000 loan to prevent him from attending a 2023 parliamentary inquiry.[1] When questioned about terminology, McInerney rejected the connection between the word "shake" and fundraising activities for the reformers, characterizing it as merely a "turn of phrase."[1] Christian Ellis, currently in the United Kingdom, has refused to attend the proceedings, though Greenwood indicated Ellis would be willing to provide video testimony.[1]
Presiding Judge Fabian Gleeson issued multiple warnings regarding Greenwood's demeanor and statements throughout the hearings.[1] The investigation is projected to conclude within eight weeks and has progressed beyond one-quarter of its scheduled duration.[1]
