An investigation by the Sydney Morning Herald has revealed multiple concerns surrounding One Nation's candidates for Victoria's November state election.[1] Party leader Warren Pickering is registered at an address in Warragul, which is approximately 45 minutes' drive outside his Pakenham electorate.[1]
Several candidates face additional scrutiny. Natalie Adams, a candidate in the southern metropolitan region, has family financial complications: her husband Daniel Adams' company Team JJs owes the Australian Taxation Office $1.38 million in unpaid taxes, while her father Sebastian Canzoneri was sentenced to two years imprisonment in the late 1990s for fraud, with 16 months suspended.[1] Aaron Sanford, a 29-year-old candidate in the northern metropolitan area, resides in a property owned by his parents.[1] Mark Nicholson, another northern metropolitan candidate, has registered an address not in his own name, and Fiona Lopez, who is running in the western metropolitan region, and her husband own a Sunshine property that has not been registered as their current residence.[1]
