A 16-year-old has been arrested and charged following an assault at a residential gathering in Brisbane's northern suburbs.[1] The incident occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Friday at a property on Elkhorn Street in Enoggera.[1] According to authorities, the teenager and others were asked to leave the party, after which the youth allegedly struck a 56-year-old resident on the wrist with a crowbar, causing a non-life-threatening injury.[1]
The attack also resulted in injuries to an 18-year-old, whose hand was damaged in the incident; that individual was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital for treatment.[1] The teenager, from Springfield, has been charged with assault occasioning bodily harm whilst armed with a weapon.[1] The case is scheduled to be heard at Brisbane Children's Court on August 21.[1]
