Procuratorates across multiple Chinese provinces have filed formal charges against four individuals accused of corruption and bribery offenses, following investigations conducted by their respective supervision commissions [1].
Zhang Ping, former director of the Guizhou Provincial Direct Agencies Trade Union Committee at vice-provincial level, faces charges of accepting bribes, accepting bribes through influence, and offering bribes [1]. Zhang Fuyan, former party committee secretary and political commissar of the Yunnan Provincial Forest Fire Brigade at provincial level, is charged with embezzlement and accepting bribes involving amounts deemed "extraordinarily large" [1]. Chen Wei, former general manager of China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation Hebei Petroleum Branch, is charged with embezzlement and accepting bribes, also with "extraordinarily large" bribery amounts [1]. Gong Naiqin, former party committee secretary and chairman of Anhui Northern Coal Electricity Group Limited Liability Company, faces charges of accepting bribes in an "extraordinarily large" amount [1].
All four cases have been transferred by their respective monitoring commissions to procuratorates for prosecution review, and charges have now been brought before the corresponding intermediate people's courts [1].
