Shenzhen's Longgang District is pursuing an ambitious artificial intelligence and robotics integration strategy, embedding AI applications across industrial production, city governance, and daily services with the goal of building a trillion-yuan industry cluster [1]. The district has introduced specialized AI agents designed to transform traditional sectors and optimize urban operations.
In manufacturing, Longgang deployed an industrial intelligence agent called "Dragon Master" to modernize traditional factories, while offering subsidies of up to 20 million yuan annually for intelligent production line retrofitting [1]. For urban management, the district launched "Dragon Assistant," described as China's first AI-native city governance agent with self-awareness, autonomous reasoning, self-execution, and self-evolution capabilities [1]. The system operates from 46 strategically positioned intelligent robot depots distributed across the district, enabling five-minute response coverage for the entire area [1]. A complementary autonomous aircraft platform, "Dragon Pilot," complements ground operations [1].
Education and logistics have also been transformed through AI deployment. An initiative called "AI Dragon Teacher" provides personalized learning experiences across more than 50 primary and secondary schools, with the system accumulating over 1.97 million assignments and learning records through intelligent data collection [1]. In the logistics sector, the district had activated 201 nighttime delivery routes and deployed 76 autonomous vehicles by July of this year, accumulating 340,000 kilometers of operational mileage [1].
