In Singapore, the fruit sells for approximately 58 Singapore dollars, equivalent to about 65 Australian dollars.[1] When specially ordered in Australia, the same melon costs around 160 Australian dollars.[1] Australia's import approval for this particular melon variety commenced in March.[1] A journalist who subsequently tasted the fruit described it as the finest melon available.[1]
