Transurban has reported strong financial performance from its Brisbane toll road operations in its latest annual report, with revenue growth significantly outpacing traffic increases.[1] Average daily traffic across the Brisbane network rose 2.5% to 483,000 trips, while toll revenue climbed 6.2% to AU$633 million during the 2025–26 financial year.[1] Operating earnings from the Brisbane division expanded 8.8% to AU$493 million, outperforming the company's operations in Sydney and Melbourne.[1]
The company's overall profitability surged substantially, with after-tax profit reaching AU$432 million compared to AU$178 million in the previous year, representing a 142% increase.[1] At the group level, average daily traffic grew 2.2% to 2.6 million trips, while total toll revenue increased 6.7% to nearly AU$40 billion.[1] Heavy vehicle traffic contributed disproportionately to growth, rising 4.9%, while light vehicle traffic increased 1.8%.[1] The company has proposed a distribution of 72 cents per share for the 2026–27 financial year, up from 69 cents in the prior period.[1]
