The ICAC prosecution has documented a pattern of clandestine meetings between Greenwood and multiple investigation targets.[1] During time spent in London, Greenwood met with Christian Ellis on four separate occasions, all at public houses.[1] In another instance, Greenwood and Rob Assaf met at a Belfield café, where they left their phones in a vehicle before taking a walk together.[1] On June 5, both men went for a walk along the Cooks River without carrying mobile phones or notebooks.[1] When ICAC prosecutor Dr. Peggy Dwyer questioned Greenwood about whether he had breached the confidentiality order, he responded, "I hope I haven't."[1]
The investigation centers on allegations that two Liberal Party figures received a A$2 million bribe from property developer Jean Nassif, with Greenwood and other individuals facing related charges.[1]
