Sylvan Singh, a lawyer with links to the notorious Alameddine crime family, has been charged with orchestrating an armed kidnapping in Pemulwuy in 2024.[1] The victim was forcibly placed into a stolen Mercedes vehicle before managing to escape.[1] Singh also faces allegations of planning a residential burglary in Ellington in February 2025, in which four intruders allegedly broke into a home to steal electronic devices and assaulted a 17-year-old boy and a 48-year-old man.[1]
Singh's legal career has been marked by serious criminal involvement. His practising certificate was suspended by the Law Society of New South Wales in September 2023.[1] In May 2024, he was shot in the arm and shoulder during a gangland shooting incident that resulted in the death of Dawood Zakaria.[1]
Separately, Joshua David Gale has been charged with 16 offences related to illegal firearm possession, including unlawful possession of a bolt-action rifle, handguns, semi-automatic 3D-printed firearms, and firearm blueprints.[1]
