Advance Metals, listed on the Australian Securities Exchange, has achieved significant exploration success at its Gavilanes silver project in Durango State, Mexico.[1] The fourth consecutive drill hole intersected a 13.2-meter wide high-grade silver mineralized zone grading 311 grams per tonne silver at 123 meters depth, with a 6-meter core section averaging 612 grams per tonne silver.[1] An additional intercept at 150.6 meters returned 6 meters grading 199 grams per tonne silver, including a 2.4-meter interval at 367 grams per tonne silver.[1]
The previous three drill holes demonstrated consistent success, returning intercepts of 33.9 meters at 220 grams per tonne silver, 8.4 meters at 245 grams per tonne silver, and 15.6 meters at 309 grams per tonne silver respectively.[1] The project is located within the Sierra Madre Occidental, one of the world's most prolific silver-bearing regions, situated 23 kilometers from First Majestic Silver's San Dimas mine.[1] A non-JORC mineral estimate indicates 2.83 million tonnes grading 246 grams per tonne silver equivalent, containing 22.4 million ounces of silver.[1] Known mineralization extends over 750 meters along strike across the project's 136-square-kilometer area.[1]
CEO Adam McKinnon stated that "all four holes we have drilled have hit high-grade silver" and emphasized that "the mineralized system is open in all directions."[1] The company targets the release of its inaugural JORC-compliant mineral resource estimate by the fourth quarter of 2024.[1]
