Australian-listed Critical Resources has identified a series of arsenic-antimony-tungsten soil anomalies within the Stony Creek target area of its Lammerlaw gold project in New Zealand, providing further geological support for an orogenic gold system in the region.[1] The company conducted a systematic low-cost geochemical exploration program that successfully narrowed the search scope from 410 square kilometers to several high-priority targets in preparation for subsequent drilling tests.[1]
The survey collected 143 soil samples distributed along a 5.4-kilometer traverse line, detecting multiple pathfinder element anomalies across approximately 3.2 kilometers.[1] Peak results yielded arsenic readings of 238 parts per million and antimony at 25 parts per million, with 10 samples containing arsenic concentrations of at least 30 parts per million.[1] The Devils Creek target, located 13 kilometers east of Stony Creek, previously returned a core sample grade of 5.42 grams per tonne of gold, demonstrating the prospectivity of the broader area.[1]
