Clean energy projects under construction amounted to 79.942 billion kilowatts as of mid-year, reflecting a year-on-year increase of 3.09 percent [1]. Second-quarter investment in clean energy declined 27.82 percent compared to the same period in the previous year [1], though generation output grew 8.61 percent year-on-year [1]. The expanded clean energy generation is estimated to have reduced carbon dioxide emissions by 768 million tons [1].
