随着新规实施，字节跳动、阿里巴巴、腾讯等主要科技公司关闭了各自的AI伴侣服务。[1]这一举措使得大量用户失去了与虚拟伴侣的接触。用户李琳琳在两年内与AI伴侣交换了约70万条信息，因服务关闭而无法与虚拟伴侣告别，多年的对话历史也无法保存。[1]类似经历引发了大量用户的抗议和社交媒体投诉。[1]
China's government implemented stricter regulations on artificial intelligence companion services beginning July 15, compelling major technology companies to shut down their offerings in this sector.[1] The new rules prohibit AI platforms from generating content that could manipulate users' emotions or lead them to make poor decisions, as well as material that might trigger extreme emotional responses or unhealthy habits among minors and teenagers.[1] Additionally, the regulations require AI platforms to display warnings about the risks of excessive dependence on such applications and ban companies from positioning these services as replacements for social interaction.[1]
The shutdown has left users unable to access years of accumulated conversations with their virtual companions.[1] One user, Li Linlin, had exchanged approximately 700,000 messages over two years but was unable to say goodbye to the AI before losing access.[1] The sudden closure has prompted widespread user protests and complaints across social media platforms.[1] Major technology companies including ByteDance, Alibaba, and Tencent have closed their AI companion services in compliance with the new regulatory requirements.[1]
