The State Administration for Market Regulation and the National Standardization Management Committee have recently approved and released 338 important national standards, comprising 15 mandatory national standards and 323 recommended national standards.[1] This batch of standards spans multiple sectors including high-tech innovation, traditional industries, occupational safety, and consumer welfare, covering areas such as artificial intelligence medical devices, next-generation display technologies, optoelectronics, vehicle fuels, maritime equipment, foundational machinery, critical materials, special equipment safety, and autonomous driving systems.[1]
The newly released standards are designed to advance high-quality industrial development, enhance safety protections, and improve living standards across the economy.[1] Among the mandatory standards are four specifications governing vehicle-use compressed natural gas, biodiesel-blended diesel fuel, and marine fuel oil, alongside a critical safety requirement standard for intelligent connected vehicle autonomous driving systems.[1] Additionally, the standards package includes national specifications addressing quality requirements and terminology for artificial intelligence-enabled medical devices.[1]
