Hengli Heavy Industry has christened two ultra-large methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers, named "Winning Creation" and "Winning Devotion," at its shipyard in Dalian, Liaoning.1 Each vessel has a capacity of 325,000 deadweight tons, making them the largest methanol dual-fuel bulk carriers globally.1 The ships measure 329.9 meters in length, 60 meters in beam, and 30.5 meters in depth.1
The second vessel completed its in-dock construction phase in just 88 days.1 Both ships reduce empty ship weight by over 2,000 tons compared to conventional designs and are capable of maintaining a service speed of 14.17 knots.1 The vessels feature green and energy-saving specifications alongside safety enhancements.1
