According to Vance, the United States expects Gulf energy supplies to remain at pre-conflict levels, noting that "Iran has also told us they will do this," while the American side seeks to increase the volume of oil and natural gas transported through the Strait of Hormuz and is working to establish a navigation mechanism to guarantee the safety of vessels passing through.[1] In parallel, Iran's Foreign Minister Araghchi stated that Tehran is "close" to reaching an agreement with Oman, though he emphasized that opening the strait depends on other conditions, including compensation from the United States for violations of a memorandum of understanding.[1]
