Eleven children from Tibet with congenital heart disease completed charitable surgical treatment at the University of Hong Kong-Shenzhen Hospital and returned to Tibet on July 24 [1]. The patients were identified during screening conducted by Professor Ding Yiqun's team, which has made seven trips to Tibet since 2018 to conduct cardiac examinations [1]. The hospital completed surgical procedures for all eleven patients within a ten-day period, with good post-operative recovery observed [1]. Since July 2021, the project has cumulatively provided assistance to 174 patients, with total funding support reaching approximately 2.14 million yuan [1].
