The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism had identified the facts during an inspection in 2016 but did not disclose them at that time.[1] The football association stated that the incidents occurred 15 years ago and that its document retention policy limits storage to five years.[1] In its statement, the association expressed deep regret over the disappointment and concerns caused by these various issues and reiterated its commitment to enhancing transparency and integrity.[1]
