The stage play "I Love Peach Blossoms," produced by the Longma Society, written by Zou Jingzhi, and directed by and starring Zhang Guoli, will run for four consecutive days from August 27 to 30 at the Free Space Big Box in the West Kowloon Cultural District of Hong Kong 1. This production features an innovative format that brings together a celebrated cast from the 1987 television series "Dream of the Red Chamber" alongside young performers 1. The veteran actors joining the cast include Deng Jie, Ouyang Fenqiang, Gao Hongliang, Hou Changrong, Wu Xiaodong, Shen Lin, and Chen Honghai 1.
Designed as a "ten-actor" version, the play utilizes a unique "3+3+3+1" rotation structure while keeping the original dialogue completely unchanged 1. Prior to the Hong Kong performances, Zhang Guoli and Deng Jie gave an interview at the Changshou Drama Valley in Pingshan, where they discussed the origins of the play's creation and the Longma Society's development plans to take root in Pingshan, Shenzhen 1. Over the past two years, the Longma Society has staged dozens of nationwide tour performances of a foreign-actor version of "The Shawshank Redemption" and more than ten shows of the musical play "Love Song" 1. Additionally, the musical play "Love Song" is scheduled to return to the Pingshan Grand Theater in October 1.
