Jean-Claude Perrottet, brother of former New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet, testified before the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) in its Operation Rosny investigation into Liberal Party branch stacking, revealing intercepted telephone recordings that documented alleged attempts to influence party preselections through financial inducements [1]. The recordings captured escaped developer Jean Nassif boasting about recruiting hundreds of new party members in the Castle Hill district and proposing to pay the Perrottet brothers A$100,000 to secure their support for a preselection [1].
During his testimony, Jean-Claude Perrottet acknowledged receiving A$25,000 from a company through installments of A$5,000 per month, as well as A$80,000 directly from prohibited donor Michael O'Hara [1]. Nassif's alleged bribery scheme extended further: ICAC charged him with offering A$2 million in inducements to Jeremy Greenwood, Christian Ellis, and Charles Perrottet [1]. From January 2020 to March 2023, Jean-Claude Perrottet had managed investments for Nassif while employed at Medallion Financial, a position that ended following his involvement in the ICAC investigation [1]. His former employer, a Catholic education organization in New South Wales, terminated his employment in connection with the inquiry [1].
