A fake financial website claiming to represent the Lee Family Office has been exposed as an elaborate scam using fabricated credentials and artificially generated staff profiles. The site, registered under the name LWP Capital, falsely claimed to manage over $2 billion in assets and employ more than 40 specialists [1].
The fraudulent operation registered the domain using the identity of 21-year-old Edward Feng Zhao Lee and fraudulently incorporated a legitimate Australian financial services license number [1]. All employee profiles and company history were entirely generated by artificial intelligence [1]. The Lee family categorically denied any connection to the site, stating: "The website alerted to us by The Sydney Morning Herald (and The Age) is not owned, operated, authorised or in any way connected to LWP Capital or the Lee Family Office" [1].
Following the exposure, the website was taken offline on Tuesday [1].
