The Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Veterans Affairs and the Shenzhen Blood Center jointly launched the second edition of their blood donation campaign series on August 4, 2025.[1] At the inaugural event, 41 employees from the bureau's office successfully donated a combined total of 13,800 milliliters of blood.[1]
This year's initiative has been upgraded to a year-round standardized brand initiative that will progressively expand to veterans across the city, with implementation through multiple channels including lectures, training programs, and dedicated donation drives.[1] The expansion will be carried out in phases: volunteer recruitment for the veterans blood donation speakers team will commence in late August, a blood knowledge module will be integrated into officer transition training courses in mid-September, and a citywide veterans blood donation campaign is scheduled for October.[1]
The program builds on momentum from the inaugural campaign, which saw 302 participants successfully donate blood.[1] This year's event also recognized 28 individuals who have donated blood over ten times.[1] With 826 veterans service centers and stations operating across the city, the campaign aims to leverage this network to extend participation among the veteran population.[1]
