天津市和平区河北路一栋建筑的楼梯间面积不足十平方米，却违规停放了4辆电动自行车，其中2辆正在进行"飞线"充电[1]。在山西太原东晟小区，一条"飞线"充电线路长达十余米，其中一处插排紧贴天然气管道，电线与管道缠绕交叉[1]。这些违规做法一旦火灾发生，极易快速蔓延火势并阻断逃生通道[1]。
近年来已发生多起严重事故敲响警钟。2021年5月，四川成都电梯内电动车自燃导致5人受伤，其中包含一名5个月大的婴儿[1]。2024年2月，北京通州一小区住户的电动车电池在充电十分钟后冒烟起火并发生多次剧烈爆燃[1]。7月12日，江西一小区楼梯间电动自行车起火导致多名居民被困，楼道受损严重[1]。消防部门提示，电动自行车及电池切勿入户、不要在楼道门厅停放充电，应选择室外专用充电棚[1]。
A nationwide inspection of e-bike fire safety uncovered serious hazards across residential communities in Tianjin and Shanxi Province.[1] The inspection team examined 89 residential complexes and identified 239 safety violations, with particular concerns centered on unauthorized parking in stairwells, illegally rigged charging lines, and tangled electrical wiring near gas pipes.[1]
Specific violations documented during the investigation reveal the scale of the problem. In a Tianjin residential building located in the Heping District on Hebei Road, four e-bikes were illegally parked in a stairwell measuring less than ten square meters, with two units actively charging through makeshift power connections.[1] In Shanxi's Taiyuan Dongsheng residential complex, an unauthorized charging line extended over ten meters, with one power strip positioned directly against a natural gas pipeline, where electrical wires were intertwined with gas lines.[1]
The dangers posed by these violations are underscored by recent fire incidents. In May 2021, a Chengdu, Sichuan elevator fire involving an e-bike resulted in five injuries, including a five-month-old infant.[1] A February 2024 incident in Tongzhou, Beijing saw an e-bike battery ignite after just ten minutes of charging, triggering multiple violent explosions.[1] On July 12, a stairwell fire involving an e-bike in a Jiangxi residential community left multiple residents trapped with severe damage to the hallway.[1]
Fire safety authorities have issued clear guidelines to prevent such incidents. E-bikes and their batteries must not be brought indoors, and charging should never occur in hallways or lobby areas; instead, residents should use designated outdoor charging stations.[1]
