True North Copper has released a feasibility study for its Wynberg gold-copper project located in the Cloncurry region of Queensland, projecting pre-tax cash flows between $53 million and $87 million [1]. The project encompasses a mineral resource of 1.019 million tonnes grading 1.86 grams per tonne gold and 0.25% copper, containing a total of 61,000 ounces of gold and 3,000 tonnes of copper [1]. The company plans to extract 870,000 tonnes of ore through open-pit mining over a two-year production period, targeting output of 53,000 gold-equivalent ounces comprising 47,000 ounces of gold and 2,100 tonnes of copper [1].
Andrew Mooney, managing director of True North Copper, stated that "the Wynberg gold-copper project provides another low-capital development opportunity with multiple pathways to unlock value, including standalone development, regional processing, and integration with the Cloncurry Copper project" [1]. The company also expects to complete a feasibility study and mineral reserve estimate for the broader Cloncurry Copper Project by the end of 2026 [1].
