The Australian Commission Against Corruption's Operation Rosny public hearing entered its eighth day with a significant admission from a senior Liberal Party politician.[1] Damien Tudehope acknowledged that he disclosed a confidential draft report from a 2023 parliamentary inquiry to Jeremy Greenwood, a key figure in the current investigation.[1]
The hearing was expected to hear testimony from Jean-Claude Perrottet, the brother of former New South Wales Premier Dominic Perrottet.[1] Perrottet previously attempted to avoid appearing before a parliamentary inquiry on the matter.[1] According to evidence, Perrottet worked in both Tudehope's electoral office and ministerial office.[1]
During proceedings, Tudehope addressed several other matters under examination.[1] His son James, who works for a Catholic school in New South Wales, reportedly felt "uncomfortable" after being forced to pay an invoice issued by Christian Ellis.[1] Tudehope also defended his associate Michael O'Hara, contending that O'Hara's support for reformist causes should not be characterized as a political donation.[1] Greenwood, described as a key stakeholder in the inquiry, has previously refused to provide evidence.[1]
