中国首位自选主教陈列馆列入天主教中国化示范基地

已故主教董光清的事迹陈列馆近日获列入"天主教中国化示范基地"，并于18日举行揭牌仪式。1中国官方天主教领导层在仪式上号召以董光清为榜样，深化推进中国天主教中国化。1中国天主教爱国会主席李山、中国天主教主教团主席沈斌等人出席了仪式。1

董光清是中国第一位自选自圣主教。11958年3月，他被汉口教区21位神职人员选举为总主教，同年4月13日举行祝圣典礼。1此前，在意大利籍主教罗锦章于1952年10月被驱逐出境后，董光清于1955年出任代理主教。1董光清生于湖北孝感，1942年晋铎，2007年病逝，享年90岁。1

The exhibition hall commemorating Dong Guangqing, China's first independently elected and consecrated bishop, has been designated as a "Catholicism Sinification Demonstration Base," with an unveiling ceremony held on the 18th.1 Official Chinese Catholic leadership used the occasion to call for deepening the Sinification of Chinese Catholicism, citing Dong Guangqing as a model.1

Dong Guangqing was elected archbishop in March 1958 by 21 clergy members of the Hankou Diocese with the approval of the Communist Party Committee of Wuhan, making him China's first self-elected and self-consecrated bishop.1 His consecration ceremony took place on April 13, 1958.1 Born in Xiaogan, Hubei Province, Dong was ordained a priest in 1942. After Italian bishop Luo Jinzhang was expelled from China in 1952, Dong served as acting bishop beginning in 1955.1 He remained a significant figure in Chinese Catholicism until his death in 2007 at the age of 90.1

The designation reflects broader developments in Church-state relations in China. In 2018, the Vatican and China signed a provisional agreement allowing the Chinese government to participate in nominating bishops, with the Pope retaining final veto power.1 Officials including Li Shan, chairman of the Chinese Catholic Patriotic Association, and Shen Bin, chairman of the Chinese Catholic Bishops' Conference, attended the unveiling ceremony.1
