Australian mining company Olympio Metals has finalized its technical review and confirmed an 80% stake acquisition in the Jacknife silver project, located in Idaho's premier silver district and operated by exploration firm Scout Discoveries Corp.1 The asset encompasses 3,940 acres within the Idaho Silver Valley mining region, positioned approximately 35 kilometers from Coeur d'Alene and 45 kilometers from the recognized Tier-1 silver mining zone.1
The Jacknife project hosts historical silver estimates of approximately 8.22 million ounces, based on 1975 foreign assessments covering 632,081 tonnes at an average grade of 405 grams per tonne.1 The mineralized corridor extends for 7 kilometers, with 80% of this prospective zone contained within a 335-acre mining claim block.1 Historical production from the associated Conjecture mine demonstrates the district's grade potential, having yielded 2 million ounces between 1956 and 1964 at an average grade of 684 grams per tonne.1
Sean Delaney, managing director at Olympio Metals, stated: "Our technical review has thoroughly validated our view that Jacknife is an exceptional, high-grade asset that perfectly complements our Raven silver project."1 The company intends to commence drilling operations immediately to establish mineral resources in accordance with JORC standards.1 Scout Discoveries will retain an operational and technical partnership role and acquire shareholder status following the August 31 annual general meeting.1
