A dispute between Liverpool's mayor and a union representing local council staff has been resolved following mediation. Ned Mannoun, the Liverpool mayor, had been accused by the United Services Union (USU) of bullying after posting a Facebook video alleging the union was intimidating a deputy mayor 1. The union, which represents approximately 600 employees, filed a complaint with the Industrial Relations Commission in May 1.

The USU claimed Mannoun was attempting to "incite community dissatisfaction" toward the organization 1. Following negotiations, both parties reached an agreement by the end of June 1. Under the settlement, Mannoun agreed to comply with the council's media policy and committed to obscuring employees' faces in future social media posts 1.
