The 38th Guangyuan Daughters' Festival will take place from August 24 to September 1, 2025, in Guangyuan, Sichuan Province, with free admission extended to women globally during the event period.1 The festival celebrates Guangyuan's historical significance as the birthplace of Wu Zetian, China's only female emperor, with the holiday originating from local legends surrounding her birth.1 The Daughters' Festival was formally recognized as a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage of Sichuan in 2022.1
