The board of Catholic Schools NSW dismissed Chief Executive Officer Dallas McInerney on Friday morning, following his appearance as a sworn witness before the Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC).1 The investigation alleges that McInerney may have breached donation laws by directing hundreds of thousands of dollars to a conservative Christian faction within the Liberal Party known as the "Reformers."1 According to ICAC's findings, approximately $265,000 in school funds were diverted to two companies, Beckington and JPG Advisory.1
During his weekend testimony, McInerney performed a factory reset on his iPhone and iPad while acting as a sworn witness.1 McInerney has denied all allegations against him.1 The inquiry also revealed activities orchestrated by Sydney developer Jean Nassif, including surveillance and intimidation directed at a police minister.1 Former Police Minister David Elliott testified that Nassif subjected him to surveillance, threats, and harassment.1
