王鐘出生于1974年，来自四川，当时正在挑战攀登14座8000米以上高峰的计划，此次事故发生前仅剩2座未完成[1]。
A 10-member international climbing expedition led by team leader Pulgha was swept away by an avalanche on Broad Peak in Pakistan on July 30, resulting in the deaths of all team members [1]. The team comprised five Nepali guides, one Pakistani climber, one Omani climber, one American female climber, Chinese mountaineer Wang Zhong, and team leader Pulgha [1]. Wang Zhong, born in 1974 and from Sichuan province, was attempting to summit all 14 peaks above 8,000 meters, with only 2 remaining uncompleted at the time of his death [1].
Pakistani mountaineering authorities recovered all bodies and transported them to Base Camp One at 5,600 meters elevation [1]. Pakistan's mountaineering club confirmed the full recovery of all victims on August 2, following initial confirmation of the deaths on August 1 [1].
