Jockey Andrew Gibbons will ride three horses across the first four races at Quirindi on Tuesday, with high expectations for each mount.[1] Gibbons will pilot Magatama, trained by Angela Davies, in the Willow Tree Cup Day 22nd August Maiden Plate over 1100 metres, while David Hatch-trained Luke Skywalker and Immortal Rose will compete in the Tab.com.au Country Boosted Maiden Plate (1450m) and the Become A QJC Member Today Class 1 & Maiden Plate (1600m) respectively.[1]
Luke Skywalker has recorded four starts under Hatch's care following a previous stint with trainer Tony Gollan, including a third-place finish at Muswellbrook on debut.[1] Immortal Rose arrives at Quirindi with ten career starts and a recent victory at the same track.[1] Gibbons enters the day on the back of a second-place result aboard Expido at Wyong on Sunday.[1]
