Two student teams from the International Department of Shenzhen No. 3 Senior High School secured third place in the team category at the 2026 Global Future Space Scholars Conference held in Beijing 1. The competition, jointly initiated by authoritative institutions including the China Space Foundation, brought together nearly 300 representatives from eight countries including China, Pakistan, Russia, Romania, Saudi Arabia, and Thailand, spanning 18 countries and regions globally 1.
The competing teams, named "Star Cloud Technology" and "Orbital Industry," tackled a 24-hour closed-door innovation challenge centered on designing a settlement capable of housing 200 people on a metal asteroid 1. Participants were required to complete comprehensive design proposals, cost calculations, and presentations within the allotted timeframe 1. Beyond their third-place finish, the student teams earned recognition for Best Structure Award and Best Proposal Award, with team member Zeng Ting receiving the Most Valuable Employee Award 1.
