The Reformers, a group of evangelical Christian members within the party, have drawn scrutiny during the public hearings in the investigation's opening week.[1] Abbott characterized them as "a group of passionate young Christians with a strong sense of mission," acknowledging that members may have occasionally allowed "their enthusiasm to exceed their judgment."[1] He maintained, however, that there is no evidence of self-enrichment or corrupt conduct among the faction's members.[1]
The inquiry continues as Liberal MP Damien Tudehope is set to appear, while other key Reformers members have already provided testimony during the initial proceedings.[1]
