The Dynasty's new flagship 9-series sedan, the Dahan, made its official debut at the Chengdu Auto Show on August 21.[1] The vehicle comes in two powertrain options: a pure electric version and a plug-in hybrid variant.[1] The pure electric model delivers an impressive 1,008 km of driving range under CLTC test conditions, which the company claims is the longest in the world.[1] For the plug-in hybrid version, BYD offers a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine paired with a 200 kW electric motor.[1]
The Dahan measures 5,256 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,510 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 3,130 mm.[1] The pure electric variant is available with a single 370 kW motor or dual motors producing 200 kW and 370 kW respectively.[1] The four-wheel-drive model accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.8 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 270 km/h.[1]
