Rupert Lowe, leader of the newly formed Restore Britain party, has urged Nigel Farage and Reform UK to set aside personal differences and work together in the national interest [1]. Lowe, who was first elected as Reform MP for Great Yarmouth in the 2024 general election [1], established Restore Britain in February with backing from Elon Musk [1].
The appeal comes after the two parties competed in the Greater Manchester mayoral by-election, where Reform UK finished second with 21 percent of the vote, while Restore Britain's candidate Marlon West placed fourth with 8.7 percent [1]. Lowe has laid out five conditions for cooperation: mass deportations of illegal immigrants, stricter legal immigration limits, bans on halal and kosher slaughter, prohibition of face veils, restrictions on cousin marriages and Sharia courts, a referendum on capital punishment, welfare cuts, and exclusion of former Conservative ministers from any coalition [1].
Farage responded that Reform UK remains open to all who share its positions on borders, the economy, and democracy [1]. Lowe was suspended from his parliamentary duties in March 2025 following allegations of bullying employees [1].
