A Ministry of Justice spokesperson characterized the EU's actions as involving "arbitrary cross-border requests for broad and unnecessary information from Chinese entities within Chinese territory, imposing improper demands on the relevant entities and seriously undermining international rule of law" 1.
The ministry announced that its statement takes effect from the date of publication and that no organization or individual may execute or assist in executing EU investigative measures 1. If the European side persists, China stated it will resolutely take countermeasures in accordance with law 1.
