The new system features a dedicated reservation window running from August 1 to 30, 2026, during which students can book travel for departure dates between August 17 and September 14 by making reservations 17 to 20 days in advance.1 A single reservation can cover up to three passengers, including the student themselves.1 Pricing for discounted tickets follows a tiered structure: high-speed train tickets are calculated at 75 percent of the regular fare with a floor of 40 percent of the published price, while conventional train hard seats are offered at 50 percent of the standard ticket price.1
Additionally, the Class of 2026 graduates have been granted two temporary extra single-journey student discount tickets to support their job search and employment efforts, which must be used by September 30, 2026.1 Student discount tickets are no longer restricted to use during holiday periods and may be used at any time within each academic year from October 1 through September 30 of the following year.1
